Daughter of the Land (DOTL): How do you reduce your impact on the planet on an everyday basis? (this can be the small stuff composting, etc)
Shannon Clarke (SC)
: I try to live every day minimally and purposefully. If I am purchasing an item, I think about its value and end of life. If I really do not need it and it cannot be recycled then I do not make the purchase. Composting, riding a bike for errands, and cutting down on any waste possible are all on the daily list.

DOTL:  Where is your favorite place in nature?
SC
: Anywhere I can spend a whole day outdoors kayaking, biking, and hiking followed by an evening beverage - al fresco of course!

DOTL: What's your favorite plant these days?
SC
: I cannot live without oregano.  It goes on everything I cook and is lovely on a veggie sandwich with olive oil and avocado.  It also makes a great ground cover except when my husband forgets it's not a weed and cuts it down- at least it smells nice after!

DOTL: Do you have a favorite skincare product + what is your skincare routine?
SC
: I love the DOTL Hair and Body Shampoo and the packaging is decor worthy!  My skincare routine consists of coconut oil for make-up removal and moisture followed by an eco-friendly/organic serum daily.  Once a week I use diluted witch hazel for a toner and some rose hip seed oil.

DOTL: What inspires you?
SC
: Inspiration is everywhere!  Views of a beautiful sunrise/sunset, the night sky, snow topped mountains, a still lake in the morning all instill a calm happiness and motivation to preserve our world's natural splendor.

DOTL: Do you have any morning rituals?
SC
: I like to cuddle with my pups while I check emails and plan my day.
